Lawyer, journalist, consultant

Robert Socha

I help my clients reach the truth and win in the court of public opinion.

I’m a lawyer with legal training and a prosecutor’s exam passed, an open-source intelligence (OSINT) analyst, and a former investigative journalist (Superwizjer TVN).

Currently, I run two consulting companies.

I was supposed to be a prosecutor, but I became an investigative journalist.

I graduated from law school and passed the prosecutor’s exam, but instead of prosecuting in the court of law, for years I “prosecuted” in the court of public opinion. This court is fast, efficient, and usually final – I got to know its rules very well.

I kept a close eye on those in power, tracking corruption and abuse.

AUTHOR OF BOOKS

I have written two books:

It was not about the ransom. Behind the scenes of the Krzysztof Olewnik kidnapping” (published by Nowy Świat)

With Pen and Paragraph. A practical guide for journalists” (published by LexisNexis).

HARVARD

I was one of the few Polish journalists to receive a year-long scholarship from the Nieman Foundation at Harvard University in the USA. I am currently a board member of the Harvard Club of Poland, an association that brings together Polish alumni of this American university.

GOOGLE

I also worked as Google's lead trainer for journalists in Central and Eastern Europe. I taught techniques for recognizing disinformation, verification, and fact-checking.

I specialize in investigative due diligence.

I verify contractors, also in terms of in-depth sanctions verification. I establish ultimate beneficial owners, including for offshore companies. I map non-obvious business relationships.

I support lawyers in procedural and non-procedural activities (litigation support). I participate in internal explanatory proceedings – for example, as a result of whistleblower reports.

I provide strategic analyses that minimize risk and help make optimal decisions.

I use my journalistic experience to advise and train in the area of media and communication.

I conduct training in public and media appearances, preparing for key presentations and interviews.

I also provide support in the area of crisis communication – both advisory and training.

In my free time, I meet with young people. I teach a critical approach to media, including verification, fact-checking, and reaching sources of information.
